Editing the "Roll Call" posts

While doing some "accessorising" of the blog page I have found a site which has been documenting the deaths of working dogs. While K9 Ike gained national attention after he was shot during a pursuit, these others are probably only known to their own communities. I'm posting their EOW information along with their human brothers and sisters in blue because I feel they are equals in the law enforcement field and should be honored just the same on these memorial websites. Am I the only one that feels this way?

I'm beginning to notice a trend in their deaths, Bloat or Gastric Dialation-Volvulus (GDV) is where the  stomach bloats and can flip over causing discomfort and proves fatal. This is a problem that affects more than 60,000 large dogs a year. Its seen mainly in dogs with a big chest cavity and who are very active; its seen a lot in greyhounds but can also affect horses and cattle.

These names below are those who passed away this year but a definitive month and date wasn't included. They'll stay here for a little bit while I do a little research on their memorials.

Unknown month:

K9 Bodo
Bloomfield Police Department, Connecticut
EOW: 2011
Cause of Death:

K9 Chase
Minneapolic Police Department, Minnesota
EOW: 2011 (but may have been November 30, 2009)
Cause of Death: Fell from a building
