Patch Project

"When a police officer is killed, it's not an agency that loses an officer, it's an entire nation." -Chris Cosgriff, ODMP Founder
I've always been a collector of odd 'n ends, and patches were always one of them usually of places I've visited on family vacations. I've only just recently tapped into collecting law enforcement patches.

Unfortunately with the events of September 11th, 2001 collecting law enforcement patches has become a difficult task. Many departments have strict rules and regulations about distributing their patches outside of law enforcement. So if you're a mundane (Renaissance festival term, Huzzah) like me (aka non-LEO) then you're out of luck. Thankfully I've got my boyfriend now...just need to decide on a good time to clue him into my plans. Or the departments may ask for a fee, a couple bucks here and there. Or there's the fabulous world of Ebay where other collectors sell them (these can get expensive!)

This is my little catalog. I'm debating to add pics, it'll be a lot if I do and that can take up a lot of space and time to load. I guess for now it'll just be the quantity and year if I happen to find that out with a little research.

Yes, thank you for the info. I have your site favorited as one of my bookmarks. I'm looking into acquiring the 10th anniversary patches soon; just wanted to get some of the earlier year ones out of the way first.
