The New Year

is looking extremely promising! Sam was discharged from physical therapy early, only seven sessions. And after an agonizing two-something hour wait at the doctors office he was cleared for full duty. Starting Sunday, he goes back to serving up "justice with a side order of spaghetti." I'm so glad he can go to work and not sit around twiddling his thumbs. He'll be back to training for SWAT in no time at all. To think it was only another month ago the other doctor was talking about possible surgery!

I have to admit (as I have to him) that I'm not too fond of him switching over to midnights. Firstly, I will not have him to cuddle with in the night because well, he'll be working. The night shift as he has told me is a little more on the dangerous side. But that's what he loves and I can't exactly stop him. He knows how I feel about it and he has assured me that everything will be fine, which I know is true. At least I know his mom is in the same boat as I am.

Now all we need to do is get him a toy for his patrol vehicle. Speaking of toys, I found a great find for him at Staples the other day. I originally saw them during Black Friday and thought about getting him one but hesitated then. I happened to see them on clearance and decided to grab two as gift ideas. I'm going to be in a bit of a gift crunch with Valentine's, his birthday and our first year anniversary; birthday and anniversary just so happen to be in the same month. Well I have a big gift for his birthday already but I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for other ideas for anything else I can think of.

Well time for bed...maybe something will come to me in my dreams :)

I am The Keymaster! I am The Gatekeeper!

I come bearing 2 bits of good news! On Friday we were originally going to go shooting, but when I asked on Thursday he said that we probably wouldn't because it was supposed to rain (which it never did! That's twice our range plans have been foiled). So we went out and what was supposed to be an innocent gander turned into an impulse buy. Sam now owns a cute little polar bear of a puppy. He's not really a polar bear but he kind of waddles like one and he's just a big poof of white (with some black patches scattered in - hmm maybe he's more panda than polar); he's actually Havanese. I'll get a pic of him tonight when I'm at the house. On Saturday morning I got a lovely message stating that Hooligan, that's his name, equals pooping machine. This little dog that couldn't weigh more than a cloud had left three or four fairly hefty sized droppings around the house since 7:30 that morning and I think I had gotten the text around 11 or 12. Sam said though that he had weighed 9 lbs originally but after the bowel movements he only weighed like 3 or 4! This morning we were taking bets on how many poops he was going to leave about the house today. Sam says 4 and I said 6. So come about 7 tonight we'll be finding out for certain.

Which brings me to my second bit of news. This morning while eating fried bagels for the first time, Sam gave me the house key off his key ring. I couldn't say anything right away because my mouth was full of bagely goodness. He had just stretched his hand out with it, I looked at him a minute, grabbed the key but didn't take it from his hand right away. I said thank you a few times to him once I had finished chewing. He didn't say why he did it and I didn't ask really, however I had my suspicions on the drive home. First: it could be to let myself in when I get to the house early, which I tend to do or so I don't have to ring the bell at night. Second: its because he wants me to check in on Hooligan, which I wouldn't mind doing at all. Third: today happens to be our 2-month anniversary and this is a gift of sorts. I just thought of this last one a few minutes ago thanks to a text reminder. I've only been looking at it all these past few weeks on the calendar. He beat me to it again! But its been a wonderful 2-month run and I'm looking forward to many more now with my two guys.

Aw you got me shampoops

I love my panda Sam, he makes me a happy snugly platypus. Yesterday, as he was food shopping after work he bought me shampoo and conditioner for the house. I can't use the Head N' Shoulders 2n1, it fucks up my hair big time. I think though he's trying to tell me something with the shampoo because its called 'long lasting relationship'; he's like it's for long hair. I got to use it today and guess what! My hair likes it! Yay!

Where have you been all this time?

That's what I asked him tonight as we were relaxing in bed after all his little 'i love yous'. He went on and on about how he loved my shoulders, my personality, my laugh, my body, and ending with 'I just love all of you'. I love this man, my warrior panda. I don't want him to go anywhere.

'I've been here, waiting for you,' he whispered in return.

Robbery 101

So Sam and I have been going on and on about a heist and I think MSN (along with Bing) is catching on. As part of their "dumb criminal moves" segment they have a piece on robbery. Which I want to share in case anyone else is planning a major movement sometime in the future. These are just some introductory pointers to keep in mind.

-Do not disguise yourself as a tree.

-Do not use your own pay stub to write a robbery note.

-Do not share your personal account information or ID with the bank teller.

-Do not log into your Facebook account while at the scene of the crime.

So...yeah

Visited Sam at his new house yesterday afternoon and met a few of his friends. One of them I knew from our high school. The other was a fellow officer who had gone through the academy together. His nickname is the Ticketmaster, because well he loves writing tickets. I think it’s safe to say he meets quotas. Sam cooked up some pretty decent steaks. It was deceiving because they looked and tasted a little like pork chops but what else do you expect with Wal-Mart meat? While I was outside with Ticketmaster, the rest of the boys were inside getting things for the grill, he said that Sam and I were lucky to have one another. It was a great afternoon, but it eventually had to end; I had to leave for work and they had to leave to bring back the U-Haul truck.

Work went fine, nothing special though it went by a little slowly. I just wanted to leave so I could get back to his house. Sam was cooking me dinner, homemade bagel pizzas and he was introducing me to Dexter. When I got to the house about 9pm, two of his friends were still there, one from earlier in the afternoon (apparently he was spending the night over) and another who had stopped by to visit (another fellow officer from the academy though he is unsure about getting into law enforcement). We all sat around and talked for a little bit until my dinner was ready; it was almost ask if it was their cue to skedaddle. The bagel pizzas were absolutely delicious. He wasn't kidding when he said he could cook. Any who, I seem to be at a loss for details. *laughs* I saw maybe 2 full episode and not even half of the third before he distracted me. We'll have to watch that episode over...if we make to that point. He's a really good kisser, best I've come across. He doesn't get all slobbery. Our kissing and snuggling on the couch, and a one point I tackled him to the carpet, lasted until about 3:30am. I didn't want to leave him to go back and take care of the cats. Once I got back to the house, I really wish I had stayed because I didn't get to sleep until after 6. Buddy was busy pestering the two female cats.

But yeah, Sam isn't like anyone else. He's sweet and warm, a definite ninja when it comes to sneaking kisses on my nose. I feel wonderfully adored by him when he's holding me. I think I adore him just as much, but according to him, he likes me more and I cannot prove him wrong. =^^=

We'll have to fix that

There's much to be done according to Sam. For the second time this week he has asked if I've ever shot a gun. While they weren't "gun-guns", they're still in the firearms category; I have shot a BB-gun and a paintball gun. To be all inclusive, I have dabbled a little in the realm of water pistols and Nerf guns. But I'm always looking to diversify. He's looking to take me to the shooting range one of these days.

I'm looking forward to it. It'll certainly beat a game of putt-putt or going to yet another movie. I think it'll be adventurous. Speaking of adventures, last night was one for the books. After our busy Sunday-days, he came to pick me up for dinner. We decided on a local Mexican place, which is right over the bridge. It used to be an Italian place a few years ago and it was alright. Now it wasn't terribly late when we arrived, maybe between 8:10-8:20pm. There was no host to greet us right away, and we stood there awkwardly for about 5 or so minutes before a gentlemen -whose english was a bit difficult to understand, showed us a booth at the bar. There's maybe another couple in this section who have just about finished their meals and a lone man at the bar chatting with the bartender. We get menus and they take our drink orders and bring us chips and salsa with our drinks. All is well. I get a phone call which I have to take. He looks over the menu. I do the same and we decide on the super burrito. Okay, lets order up! ....5mins. ....10mins. ....Chef Ramsey would not be pleased. Finally, the gentleman who I will further assume is our waiter comes to get our orders. Surprisingly it takes like 5 seconds since the time he went to put in our order to when he returns with the extremely hot and large plates of food. We definitely got our $8.95's worth.

Neither of us could even come close to finishing our plates. I'm suggesting they change the name from super burrito to something along the lines of burrito unconquerable. He suggested: there's-no-way-you'll-finish-this-burrito burrito. From here it's another waiting game, thank goodness for Univision. They had on what looked to be the Spanish equivalent of our Survivor, though this one was not so much drama driven.

He's gotta hot streak

So I'm sitting at work behind my little desk, minding my own business when one of the gentlemen of the A.G. vedors (I'm abbreviating for the sake of confidentiality) walks in and says that they need a table and walks out of the office. I call Alex to let him know, and he says they have one set up out in the concourse. Alex goes off to do whatever duties he needs, when the A.G. walks back in and says something regarding the dinner here at the office before he asks if I'm of legal age and if I enjoy wine. Shocked, I agree to both. He says ok and promptly disappears back outside. I'm more or less creeped at this point thinking this older man, old enough to maybe be my grandfather, is making a pass at me. That's when Gregg comes in from around the corner makes a comment about him being rude asking about the food. He hadn't heard the first part, so I told him what the guy said. He in turn told Matt who was now walking in the door. Matt makes me laugh. He said "do you want me to take care of him for you". Me thinking he wants to defend my honor says go ahead. Thats when Gregg says no, he wants to go out with him for you. I got a kick out of it and told him to go for it.

I had already texted Sam at this point and was waiting for his reply. Which was what I thought it would be, however, I didn't think it would be so possessive sounding. He apologized when I sent back my comment saying that he just wanted the old men to stop hitting on me. Which I said once I got the message that I didn't find a problem with his response and in fact I kind of enjoyed it.

Fuck that tell them your mine

I asked him though if it was alright to keep the bottle of wine the guy gave me when he came back in. Sam said of course.

Child, I think you're crazy

Sam and I got to have lunch today. He was laughing that I had suggested Subway. What? I don't know what he has time for or what places are near his zone. We ended up eating at Applebees close to the highway. Cowboys was next to it and I'll have to ask him later if that's the one where a gentleman shot himself at.

Best part of the day was getting to see him in his handsome uniform. He looked good but I felt bad because that material doesn't breathe in the hot weather and its that dark dark navy that almost looks black color. On top, and underneath all that is his gear and vest so I know he was probably dying in it, especially lately because it's been hotter than Hades for the past few weeks now. We had a nice lunch, and as we were leaving he had a call about a panhandler just outside the restaurant. So I got a nice hug and a kiss on my ear before we parted ways so he could get back to work.

So I'm home and as I'm walking the dog, I get a text from him.

Im glad you came out today, sorry I was not a better host.

I was like what the hell is he talking about. This boy must be crazy thinking he has to apologize, I assume because he had to go back to work or whatever. I was just excited to get to see him before Saturday rolls around. Oh well.

On another happy note, he closes on his house tomorrow. Though he told me he's more excited about his half day at work than the house closing. I had to laugh. I think his four days off is coming up soon as well. My next day off isn't until July 13, but it seems like I have everyday off considering my 3hour workday 7 days a week.

My other good news also came this morning. My neighbors across the street are starting their vacation Saturday. They're taking a cruise up to Alaska. She called and asked if I would be interested at all in housesitting and petsitting for them. Its been a few good years since the last time I watched their cats. I said that I wouldn't mind at all. One of their cats is a little sick and needs quite a bit more attention than usual. It would be for 8-10 or so days. I said that I would be fine with that. Then she was asking me what I charge. I had just woken up more or less, so its like okay think of something. Its been a while since I watched anyones pets, usually just for family but I've never had a set amount that I charge. Just you know, whatever you think is good is fine because this isn't what I'm doing for a living. It be much different if I made it into an occupation. She's like well, 10 or so days, she might need me to take the cat to a vet in Boca which she would reimburse me for gas and what not, so $30 a day which would end up being $300. She then asks if that sounds like a good price. My jaw nearly hit the floor. I was like yeah that would be fine and then I said if thats too much we can always shoot lower. But she seemed to be pretty kosher with the price she set. So that'll be nice.

I'm meeting with her tomorrow afternoon to go over everything. She didn't want to do it today because the house looks a mess. I'm hoping her husband is able to get the pool in order because with this weather I could use a nice dip one of these afternoons. I wouldn't mind being in South Africa either, its like in the 40s there. Oh her husband is the same person who got me the position up at the jail....which still has some kinks that need working out. Eh but so far my day has been really good, and I hope it can only get better from there.

P.S. You're beautiful

Sam is a huge sweetheart! Guh, I cannot stop smiling. I hope I'll be able to get to sleep tonight. I'm pretty excited regardless because I'll be meeting up with him tomorrow afternoon for lunch while he's on his beat. Hopefully, it won't be cut short or doesn't happen. I want to see that man in his uniform, mostly because he thinks firemen look better and that he doesn't look good. But I told him that I'd be judge of that.

I'm trying to think too of what we might be doing on Saturday. Might just take it easy that night like we did a few nights ago; a late dinner and maybe watch something on the tube or could go out to the bar again. Might have to talk to him into starting Dexter. He tells me that I'm missing out, and its a fact.

I could really use a wish right now, wish right now

That wish would be that its still Monday. Granted the day totally dragged on as Sam predicted but he didn't make it much better by leaving his cell in his car while he was working ER detail. I had sent him a few texts throughout the day and didn't hear back from him. So I had found it a little hard to get excited about our date. But I eventually heard from him just before I was leaving for work and my anxiousness was back.

He met me at the house when I got home and I left him with my parents which wasn't so bad for him I hope. We went for a late dinner at Outback and then for some people watching at Harper's pub. It was definitely fun. They even had digital porn gambling machines, and I kid you not there was a woman, whom we dubbed the Bar Fly, who looked like the woman on the machine. The exceptionally gross point of the evening was when I noticed while on my way back from the restroom, that she was standing around the bar without shoes on and it only added to the fact I saw her go into the restroom...most likely without those shoes as well. Bleck! All in all it was a very pleasant evening, complete and sealed with a nice kiss, well two when he saw me to the door at the end of the night.

Today we were doing a little talking back and forth online, lucky bastard has the day off. I have tomorrow off. And its looking like we won't be seeing each other again until Saturday. 4 days, not nearly as bad as a week but still a wait. Tuesday we're definitely going back to Harper's to check out the karaoke singing. He also suggested that in the time between now and Saturday, if I wanted I could meet him up in his jurisdiction for lunch. I'm totally game for it because that means I get to see him in his sexy policeman uniform. :)

Rainy Days and Monday

Pehh, that's my new term for days when it rains here at work. When it rains, everyone and their mother is calling in about the weather and if the game was cancelled...like 2 hours before game time. Unless its a hurricane or something they don't call the game unless absolutely necessary and like 5 minutes before First Pitch. It drives me up a wall but I can understand especially if they're traveling from out of county. Actually, today the phone hasn't been lighting up all that much, which is surprising. I'll still probably stick around a little on the later side just in case there are those last minute stragglers, but game time is in a few minutes. So huge sigh of relief!

I don't usually like to sit around and twiddle my thumbs for Monday but I feel like that's what I'm doing. Granted its only a few more days away but I've that "highschool jitters" feeling when it comes to seeing Sam. I think we're both being desperate and lame. Of course with him being a cop, he works like 12 hour shifts and 5 or 6 day stretches. So pretty much our relationship consists of texting back and forth. Its okay, but the delays between messages kill me, but I know its because he's busy on a call.

If anyone can find Monday before it gets here please pass it along my way. Thanks

Smooth Operator

I love it! While searching for an image, I found how-tos on how to hold a girl or someones hand during the movies. How to hold your date's hand in a movie theater (for guys) I like how they recommend not to see a horror flick.

Sam and I decided to be lame for the second date and go see another movie. We saw the Karate Kid 2010, which to both our surprise was much better than anticipated. I like that they didn't do a direct remake of the original film. Anyways, we're sitting there watching the movie, and I'm pretty sure it was when the kids were running through the alleyway, he leans over and whispers something about being scarred, grabs my hand and says to hold it. I say okay and after the scene we're still holding hands. I lean over and whisper how that was a smooth move. He gave a big smiled and answered, "you liked that huh?" We held hands through the rest of the movie. Its the best move I've seen yet :)

Anyhow, that's the conclusion for our dates this week. He starts work tomorrow and goes for the next 5 days, which is a major bummer. But hey, that's how it goes. I luckily don't have to work tomorrow but that doesn't mean I'll be melting on the couch for the whole day. I could only wish. I've got to visit with Grandad, probably do some more cleaning and hopefully catch some World Cup matches. I've actually missed quite a bit of the games.

He likes me not. He likes me.

So yup, Sam likes me. For how long he's felt this way, I couldn't tell you at this point. I think I've been blushing just about all this second half of the day, its literally ridiculous. He's surprisingly sweet compared to all these knuckleheads, I use the term affectionately, I know.

I sent a message to Sira today through Facebook. I had to know whether or not she is approving of me and him seeing one another. I haven't seen her online all day so hopefully I'll know by the end of the night. Also, I hope he and I can figure out what to do tomorrow before I head into work. We've already done the movies...but he does have a free ticket and he did mention he wanted to see Sex in the City 2, haha.

I think I like today

Had a date today. I suppose that's what you could call it. I was awkward about it at first because it was with the older brother of one of my best friends from high school. Her and I are practically brothers of the same mother! But anyways, her brother and I went out today and it went pretty well. Just got a text in fact to confirm this.

Hey, had fun today. Your a really cool person and you look great. Hope we can do it again sometime
He was so much different than I remember from back in high school, but I guess that pretty much sums that up. He was the older brother, so you know, he couldn't really "be seen/associate" with his little sister and her friends, let alone "get along" with us. I'm pretty sure I still have the notes he sent me in particular. I don't know how to describe them, other than him in his jet shooting at images of me...They aren't really as bad as it sounds. It was in a joking or jesting manner, any way to pick on us. Not that he did much of that. I think back then he was even too cool for that. Then he was a little bit husky, that awkward highschool stage that everyone seems to go through. And now, hmmm as Sira has so adequately put, "He's all muscle Bug, a beast!" (On a side note: Bug was my nickname in high school which even though I haven't seen many of my friends since then but when they see me, that name is still used just as affectionately as it was back then. I'll have to go into the back story of my name in another post).

She's right though, he's much nicer looking now. Oh, he's a cop too so I'm sure that plays into it too. Which is cool but scary at the same time. He was telling me some of his stories in the car ride to the movie theatre (we saw Prince of Persia, then went out to eat at Ruby Tuesdays).

Anywho, looks like we'll be seeing each other again sometime :)

Well Thurs is no good but I really do not want to wait a whole week before I get to see you again.

I'm gushing a little. Am I back in highschool? Feels like it. I think...no, I do want to see where this is going to go.
