Store closings mean store wide clearance sales! We just picked up a Nordic Track treadmill regularly at $1300 for a whopping $700!! Talk about
a win. Sam has used it a few times already but I have yet to clock some
mileage. I've been meaning too because the both of us need to get back
in shape. I'm not happy at the weight I am and unfortunately its all
gone to my belly and my thighs just a smidge. Becoming recently fully
employed working 40+ hours 5 days a week, I just don't feel energized to
jump on a treadmill even if its for an hour or so. I need to though and
have been meaning too for the past week.
I'm currently an unappetizing 146 lbs. Makes me cringe that Sam still
finds me attractive. But I guess I could say the same about him. He
thinks he looks disgusting with his belly and I find him still as sexy
as ever. I'd like to get back down to my 125 range. Once there I can
finally get my tattoo!!! I'll either get my left shoulder done or start
my lower back. Both I've wanted for a few years now. Hopefully my lower
back one won't be too expensive....I had gotten it priced once at a shop
near my college. The price I was told was a bit high and that artist
does tend to over charge. I think it was around $300 just for the
outline. I decided to just stick with the shop that I got my first
tattoo. They were reasonable and I liked the shop atmosphere. I've since
added another element to the tattoo, which I may or may not keep. I
just hope I'm not getting in over my head.
I'll be posting updates now and again.
...And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all the people...

I thought I disliked Mondays.
I'm not a morning person by any means and when it comes to being up at the crack of dawn to drive to work, I just want to get it over with. So I'm going along as usual business when I see in my rear mirror I've been lit up. Are you kidding me? I'm almost to the light. I move over to my right, he moves too. Damn. Move another lane and he's on me like Peter Pan's shadow. Move one more and into the parking lot of a bank on the corner, and we could have entered the Olympics as a synchronized swim team. He approached the car stating he had pulled me for a 55 in a 45 back a ways. I apologized and dug through my bag to get my license, registration and insurance.
"Are you in a rush this morning?"
"Nope, just on my way to work at the airport." (Not more than five minutes around the corner....grumble). "Well here is my license and registration and I know my insurance is in here. I just got the car about a month ago."
"Hmm. What time do you have to be at work?"
"6am." (You only pulled me over at 5 til)
"Do you have a good driving record? No tickets?"
(Well I can see you are Mr. No-Nonsense in the morning.) "Good driving record and no tickets. I can't find it, its not in here." (I couldn't believe I hadn't put my new insurance card in my car. Stupid!)
Well he only gave me a written warning for the speed and a citation for the no insurance. Be certain I will be at court within thirty days to lessen my fees and I will not forget my insurance...which is probably sitting on the desk at home. First time for being pulled over, woohoo! I just wished it hadn't been so early in the morning.

I'm still around
Well we're still around. Sam is still recooperating from December's episode. He was just recently cleared for work next week. We still don't know what exactly happened but the family (diverse medical backgrounds) are leaning toward SVT (Supraventricular tachycardia), so as long as he stays on the medication. I just wish in these past few months we had gotten a more definite diagnosis from the doctors. He's very dissatisfied with the specialist, who told him that he would grow out of the condition and to suck it up and go back to work. All we can do is keep an eye on and pray it doesn't get any worse.
He's been doing a lot of thinking too with all this time spent at home and away from the streets. He's been thinking of getting out of the police business going back to school for a degree. I support his decision a 100%! I love that he's a cop but I hate having those thoughts that he could be hurt --more seriously, on a regular basis. And he sees that police work isn't all that its cracked up to be. What we think police do and what they actually do, he's seen as two different things. Even if he gets out of the line of work, he'll still always be my handsome officer.

I've been busy too these past few months. Since moving in, I've become the quote-unquote breadwinner of the household now that I'm a full-time employee...oh which reminds me I need to complete my benefits package. I just wish I could stay home with him all day...work is bleck! Money is nice but I hate being swamped with work and practically forced to work overtime. Downside...our romance has dwindled a bit in the process, but that's nothing we can't work with. Hopefully I'll get back into blogging and writing within the next week or so. I miss it.

A New Chapter, US Offically Ends Iraq War
Not only do I hope these men and women of the military are home for the holidays but I hope it'll be home for good.

:(
I had a dream early this morning about getting a "Home Safe" text from Sam. It was in poem form and a little longer than usual. I guess when I woke up around 4am I didn't think much of it. I woke up again at 6am thinking about the text, I rolled over to look. I had no unread texts from nor did I have a text saying he was home from work. I sent him a quick one asking if he was home. A few minutes later I get a phone call from him. He starts off with "So to make a long story short".
And yes, to make the long story short because thats the only version I have; he started to have chest pains at the beginning of the shift and thought nothing of it, that they'll go away by the end of the shift. Well I'm not sure exactly when he went to the ER, if it was during shift or at the end this morning, but he got admitted and is still there.
I hope nothing its nothing serious. It was in his voice though, I could something was off when he started talking. He seemed fine though yesterday when he left for work. :(

All Men are created equal, then few become Police Officers
Darn! I meant to post this before, however, I've been forcing myself to take withdrawls from the computer since I'm on it 8 hours straight and then some Monday thru Friday with occassional Saturdays like the one I'll be working tomorrow.
Happy Anniversary to my wonderful officer. I can't believe he's been with the department for 2 years already. He just grumbled about it when I brought it up. There have been some ups and downs that he and myself have encountered in this past year. I snagged this from Mrs. Fuzz's blog on looking back through this past year:

There have been some ups and downs that he and myself have encountered in this past year. I snagged this from Mrs. Fuzz's blog on looking back through this past year:
- attended and completed radiation training making him qualified to assist in a nuclear emergency. He just attended a training scenario a week ago at the power plant.
- RADAR Gun Operator Certification. Speeders beware! He can also judge a car's speed just by eyeballin' it; he likes to get "two-fers" or "three-fers" when he pulls over speeders: not wearing their seatbelts and outstanding warrants.
- Was able to get back to duty after 2 months and with physical therapy with no problem after a leg injury during a chase with a suspect the day after completing radar classes. His knee though still gives him pain but that's because there's a bone fragment floating around in there.
- CIT training certified - he gets to wear a shiny pin on his uniform and can affectively encounter and diffuse situations involving mentally unstable individuals.
- He's been recognized by the department in catching restaurant grease theives.
